Hard verification
The platform’s API reads the action straight back — a follow, a save, a server membership. The cleared step is a proven one. No screenshots, no honour system.
Soft verification
The API can’t confirm the action, so it is a best-effort click-through — recorded as attested, marked honestly. Your CRM always knows which signups came from a proven action versus a trusted one.
